This painting was inspired by Cillian Murphy's performance in the Danny Boyle 2007 film "Sunshine" where a team of astronauts must re-ignite the sun to save earth. The performance rivals his performance in Oppenheimer in my opinion combining fear and hope to save a planet increasingly incapable of sustaining life without photosynthesis.
